You'd think George Clooney and Brad Pitt making two appearances at the Venice Film Festival this week would be enough of a stir. Us magazine reported on its Web site that Maddox, sporting a blue mohawk, and brother Pax were boarding a speedboat with Brad in Venice, Italy. Brad Pitt and George Clooney are in town for the Venice Film Festival. Their appearances include the red carpet tonight when their newest film, Burn After Reading, opens the festival. Last night they appeared at a fundraiser for Not On Our Watch, which aids people in Darfur and victims of the cyclone in Myanmar. Click HERE for the US Magazine.com article which includes pictures.  James McAvoy (who has become one of my favorite actors) says that Angelina Jolie is far more down to earth than people would imagine. James (29) says that when they were shooting Wanted (!!!), he was surprised that he had more people surrounding him than she did. "I’ve got 2 f**king agents, she doesn’t have an agent. I’ve got a bigger entourage than she does. She doesn’t have an entourage," he told Celebs On Sunday. "Angelina had a make-up and hair person, but everyone’s got a make-up and hair person." But he admits that he did feel tense about meeting Angelina (33). "I was intimidated and nervous," he says. "But within 10 minutes of meeting her, you realise she’s just a very cool girl." You know, I'd love nothing more than to kick back and watch Wanted for a third time. Unfortunately, it isn't at our theater anymore. Looks like I'll be waiting for the dvd, doesn't i. Loved. That. Only Angelina could conceivably replace Tom Cruise as the lead in a thriller. From Variety: "Edwin A. Salt" is about to undergo a gender change. Once expected to star Tom Cruise, the Columbia Pictures espionage thriller will be redrafted by screenwriter Kurt Wimmer as a star vehicle for Angelina Jolie. Philip Noyce remains attached as director and Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Sunil Perkash are producing. Jolie is close to a deal to play the title character, a CIA officer who's accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy and must elude capture long enough to establish her innocence. Personally, I'm hoping they rename the movie to Edwina Salt. That'd be kind of cheeky. |

Angelina Jolie is reportedly interested in the role of 'Catwoman' if the character is resurrected for a future Batman sequel by 'Dark Knight' director Christopher Nolan. Angelina has even been suggested for the role by Julie Newmar - who played the original feline villain in the 1960s Batman TV series. Can you imagine how impossibly huge the movie would be? I keep jumping into entertainment news everyday hoping for the big announcement! |

 Apparently Angelina hasn't made up her mind yet about the election. She says, "I have not decided on a candidate. I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world." When Entertainment Weekly asked if she and Clint Eastwood (a longtime Republican) talked about politics on the set of their movie, The Changeling, she said, "Actually, we don't disagree as much as you'd think. I think people assume I'm a Democrat. But I'm registered independent and I'm still undecided. So I'm looking at McCain as well as Obama." |

Not cool. US Magazine has a feature in the newest issue which the cover calls, "Real Hollywood Moms (No Angelina!)" I guess it's a case of sour grapes because they didn't get a crack at her baby pictures, but how offensive and ugly can you get? Whether they're actually trying to say that adoptive parents aren't "real" parents or not, it's how it comes across. I hope their sales go through the basement. And I hope any stars with adopted children will keep this cover in mind when US comes calling. |

 Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are apparently considering adopting another child! Angelina, who recently gave birth to twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline (son number 3 and daughter number 3 ), was greatly affected by footage she'd seen of the recent earthquake in China. She and Brad are contemplating giving a home to a child orphaned in this disaster. A source told Britain's Star magazine: "Angelina is devastated over the earthquake that occurred in China in May. She has been in constant touch with relief workers as part of her UN involvement, and even got her hands on photos of a few orphaned kids. "She's made overtures offering a home to one earthquake orphan, or even two if they are siblings." Angelina, 33, recently revealed in an interview that their newborn babies are keeping her busy, but she is getting plenty of help from the rest of her family. She said: "It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time. Shiloh calls the twins her babies. She and Zahara pick out their clothes, help change and hold them.
